Please join us at the Canadian Society of Mechanical Engineering International Congress (CSME), at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, on June 5 – 8, 2022. Dr. Ehsan Ebrahimnia will give a presentation on the novel technology developed by FEED Engineering in partnership with UBC Okanagan. In this project, we developed a microchannel plate & shell heat exchanger for recovering heat from low-temperature flue gas. This design study was conducted by Dr. Ehsan under the supervision of Prof. Sunny Li, Prof. Joshua Brinkerhoff and Prof. Abbas Milani at UBCO. The outcome of this project could be used for applications such as low-grade heat recovery with more than 90% efficiency, dehumidifiers and producing water from air or flue gases.
